AQUILINO, THE HOUSE AND THE WHISPER OF GOD

Documentary about the Casa Grande de Romarigães (Great House of Romarigães), an emblematic manor house in the county of Paredes de Coura, located in northern Portugal, in the Alto Minho region. It is a historic space and building that gave rise to the work with the same name by the former writer Aquilino Ribeiro, considered one of the greatest works of Portuguese literature, and which, after undergoing restoration works, was formally inaugurated on the 30th of July 2023, making way as a house-museum. The documentary, in addition to having the restoration process as its motto, also intends to reflect on the literary work itself, the author and the territory from which it emerges. The premiere of the documentary is scheduled for 2025 and subsequent broadcast on Portuguese Public Television (RTP).
